E/O SYSTEM /NIGHT VISION

INTEGRATED NAVAL COMUNICATION SYSTEM

SAIL PANAROMIC VIEV AND COLLISION

Starlight S.A.I.L. it’s E/O platform that alerts crews early and reliably about objects on the surface of the

seawater.

The system has been developed from our long experience in the field of night vision and thermal imaging,

Starlight Italia is one of the two worl wide companies producing night vision system IMO Approved.

S.A.I.L.’s state-of-the-art E/O payload is a maritime multisensor cameras and proprietary detection software

system developed to support maritime and ships safety and the safeguard of animal species such as whales

and cetaceans.

This custom-built camera houses multiple stabilized infrared (LWIR + SWIR) camera cores + daylight cameras

for a seamless field-of-view.

In combination with artificial intelligence, S.A.I.L. detects and classifies objects, including those that escape

conventional systems such as Radar or AIS: unsignalled craft, floating obstacles, whales, and persons over

board.

High-performance cameras monitor continuously the sea surface, with wide angle 240°.

Artificial intelligence processes images in real-time, detects floating hazards and warn the crew.

Benefits :

Reduces the risk of vessel strikes on whales, marine mammals and other objects.

Automatically detect marine mammals, vessels or other targets in the day and at night, fog

Can be operated by a single operator

Provides 24/7 surveillance option for extended operation

Record video data and retrieve recently-collected video for verification

Reduce ship-strike risk through improved detection

High performance and precise gyrostabilization

Wide field of view for larger area data collection

Technology :

4 Ultra Low Lux Super HD SDI Digital day true color cameras;

4 Ultra Sensitive LWIR Thermal camera (<30mk) with 7 Color Algorithm (maintenance less)

4 Ultra Sensitive SWIR camera Anti Fog and Rain

Covered angle 240° (horizontal)

Horizon Line Auto Detection (marked by Color Line)

Target calculation with dangerous course, automatic anti collision alert

Merging function ( SWIR / Thermal)

Multiple objects detection

High performance electromechanical 3 axys yrostbilization with inside sensors (without sensors data

from vessel navigation system)

NMEA Interface for GPS, Compas, AIS, Radar, and rudder angle;

Video Tracking;

AIS tracking;

Panoptic view on a dedicated Ultrawide SuperHD 3440 x 1080 marinized monitor.

All data (video, pictures, OSD) are stored in a local SSD availbale any time

Scope of supply

SAIL main unit :

– n.04 ultra Low Lux Super HD SDI Digital day true color cameras

– n.04 LWIR Hi Sensitivity Thermal camera (<30mk) with 7 Color Algorithm (maintenance less)

– n.04 SWIR Camera Anti Fog and Rain

– n.01 Control Unit PSU 8 – 32 V dc RS 232 / 485, 2 x LAN 10/100/1000,

– Internal storage up to 16 Tb

Gyrostabilization module

The Gyro Stabilization module is designed to automatically stabilize S.A.I.L. on all 3 axys,

to compensate for roll and pitch movement in real-time for the best data acquisition.

The gimbal ensures perfectly aligned and pin-sharp images

3 Axis MEMS Electro-Mechanical Ultra Fast TILT Gyro-Stabilization << 1mRad

A.I. Computing & Controller Module

The ACCM calculates the nautical situation around the ship (Situation Awareness) by

exploiting all the available information. For each object, moving or static, it calculates

the relative speed and detects the collision routes.

ACCM analyses all the pixels coming from the set of thermal and low light cameras

to detect and assess the level of risk of the floating objects around the ship.

This technology uses latest deep learning capabilities and ever-growing proprietary database

to classify the type of floating hazards detected.

Main Cable up to 100 meter pre terminated both ends

Monitor, 32/9 3440 x 1080 Super HD
